Why do you skate, and why do you like it? Because it is incredible to skate. And I like it a lot when I’m skating with my bros.

Do you like other sports? Of course! I like surf and baseball.

Do you have any words of advice for younger skaters? Keep skating all the time, so that they can improve.

Whats your favorite food? CHICKEN!!

Cuanto tiempo tienes de estar patinando? 2 1/2 anos.

Porque patinas, y porque te gusta patinar? Porque es incredible patinar. Y  cuando llegue amigos patinando eso me gusta mucho.

Te gusta oltro desportes? Si claro, surfear y beisbol.

Tienes una palabra para patinadores menores? Que siguen patinando siempre para mejorarse.

Su comida favorita? POLLO!!

Que tipo de musica te gusta? Reggae. Mucho reggae. Siempre reggae.

 

Well, here we are in The Skate Pit. Marvin, thank you for coming, and welcome.

Where are you from, and how long have you been skating? I am from San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua, and I have been skating for 2 years and 8 months. I couldn't skate for 6 months, because I fell and had to get an operation on my knee.

Do you have lots of friends in your school that skate? No, its pretty much just me.

So, why did you start skating and what was your inspiration? I saw Augusto  and Roque skating, and some other guys that hang out with them. I was always watching them, and then I started watching videos…

Before The Skate Pit, have you ever skated a ramp? Yes, There was a quarter pipe in Managua, and one in Playa Maderas. Just those two.

What do you like more, street or vert? I like street, a lot. The ramp is good, but I prefer street skating.

What is your favorite trick? The 360 flip.

Marvin, I saw you trying out a new trick today. Whats up with that? Have you seen that trick before? Where? Yes, I have seen it in halpipe videos, and I saw Bucky Lasek on video. It’s a good trick, and I really want to do it.

After three attempts you landed it, right? Yes, I did.

Do you have something to say to younger skaters? Well, that they should keep trying and that they should never stop trying. That way, they can get better.

De donde sos y cuantos anos tienes de patinar? Soy de San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua, y tengo 2 anos 8 meses de patinar. Al comienco tuve una caida, y no pudia patinar por 6 meses.

Quebraste algo cuando caiste? No, fue un golpe en la rodilla. Pero tenia que operarme.

Tienes muchos amigos que patinan en tu escuela? No estoy estudiando ahorita.

Entonces, porque comensaste a patinar, y cual fue tu insperacion? Mire a Augusto “la gaviota” y Roque y a oltros que caminan con ellos. Entonces yo estaba a verlo, y despues mire videos…

Antes del skate pit, havias patinado en una rampa? Si, havia un quarter pipe en Managua, y tambien uno en Playa Maderas. Solo estos dos.

Que te gusta mas, el estilo de la calle o de la rampa? De la calle, me gusta mucho de la calle. Es bueno la rampa, pero prefiero la calle.

Cual es tu truco favorito? El 360 flip

Marvin, te vi haciendo un truco nuevo. Que paso con eso? Haz visto eso truco antes? Donde? Havia visto en los videos de halfpipe, lo vi haciendo Bucky Lasek. Es bueno, me gusto, y lo queria hacerlo.

Despues de tres veces, lo ograste, no? Si, si.
